90,000 Coffees

We’re thrilled to celebrate a remarkable milestone—donating over 90,000 cups of coffee through our "Coffee for a Coffee" initiative. Launched in January 2024, this project embodies our commitment to making a real difference in our communities. For every cup of coffee sold at our stores, we donate a matching cup to local charities and organisations, ensuring that your daily coffee helps those who need it most.

The concept is simple,” says co-founder Rob Ely. “Every time a customer buys a coffee, we match it by donating one to someone in need. Whether it’s a job interview, a conversation, or simply sharing news, coffee often brings people together in important ways. We want to change lives through coffee.”

Our branches in Sudbury, Braintree, Chelmsford, Witham, and Colchester have been at the heart of this effort, supporting over 19 different charities and organisations so far. From food banks and shelters to community centres and local events, the impact of "Coffee for a Coffee" is felt across the region.

Rob Ely adds, “We brew thousands of cups of coffee every month, and I’m incredibly proud of how this project is helping to support our communities. It’s a small gesture with a big impact, and it’s something we’re committed to continuing.”

Next time you visit your local branch, know that your coffee is doing more than just fuelling your day—it’s helping to support and uplift others in your community.
